After winning his 3rd AAMMAs (Afro Australian Music & Movie Awards) and grazing the stage with one of Ghana's biggest dancehall artist, BET Award winner Stonebwoy; Sydney's singer-songwriter Mike Akox is back with a brand new single of the year "SORRY". It is in no doubt that this Afro-beat singer is one of the best Australia has to offer and is indeed reaching new heights.
“SORRY is about apologising for hurting someone. Not just to your significant other, but to the people you have the most that you have wronged. I came up with this song while in the studio in Brisbane, Australia with my producer WYES. I told my producer why not write a song about a topic that people can relate to. WYES started playing some tunes on a guitar which I felt. I told he to lay down the track and within 15 minutes SORRY was born. At the time, I didn’t think the song would make an impact until I played it to a woman who started to get emotional and cried because it was something she related to.” – Mike Akox
