 Natural Hair Transition Timeline

Let me just start by saying as I started my natural hair journey, I had already a bit of
growth and I wasn't too sure how many months it had been. I also didn't exactly
know on what day my last relaxer was; however, I decided to transition for One Year.

My One Year Transition - Timeline

Last relaxer - approx. the beginning of 2013 (sometime in February)
decided to leave my hair until the 4/6/13

4/6/13 - I had braids done

7/9/13 - I removed my braids (Yep! I had my braids in for a little while) I then washed
my hair using the LCO method, trimmed my hair and tried the famous old 'twist out'.
During this period, I tell you my friends, I was so tempted to chop my relaxed ends
off buy thankfully, I was patient enough to wait.

7/9/13 - 12/10/13 (During these periods, I rocked some transition styles such as
the roll, tuck and pin, braids outs, twist outs, bantu knots and simple buns)

12/10/13 - I had braids done again

1/12/13 - I removed my braids (Wow! Looking back, I think I kept my braids in for quite some time)
I repeated the process I usually do after removing my braids - I washed my hair using
the LCO method, trimmed my hair and tried the famous old 'twist out'.

19/12/13 -  I planned to get my hair done the next day so I semi blow
dried my hair, making it easier for the hairdresser to manipulate.

20/12/13 - had weave done

Sometime in February I had my weave removed.  I again repeated the process of
washing my hair - I washed my hair using the LCO method, trimmed my hair and tried the famous old 'twist out'.

1/3/14 - Finally, the big day.....

My Big Chop!
